TIM WILLIAMS

We lost a great Alberta musician and outstanding gentleman this week. Tim and I were not buds. We only crossed paths a few times over the last 30 years but when we did I was always happy to get the chance to chat with him. 

He was a guy that seemed to know 1000 songs and could play them at the drop of a hat. He was a skilled bluesman but also master of stagecraft. I watched his set at a few festivals and each time I learned something that I put in my toolbox. 

Tim was a funny guy. Always had a joke or two up his sleeve when I saw him. Here’s a lovely song about what us songwriters leave behind.
