In A Town This Size written by Kieran Kane

You would think after singing a song a thousand times you would know it, like really know it.  Like be able to pull it out at any moment and perform it, regardless of whether you have or have not played it recently.  I wish.  Unfortunately I'm not like that.  I have to refresh my memory of songs on an ongoing basis or I lose it to some dark recess of my brain.  Playing other people's songs is even harder for me.

With an upcoming The Woodshed show (this is a duo project with T. Buckley where we play half my songs, half his songs and a few select cover songs we wish we'd written) I had to do some homework today.  There will be about twenty songs to go through.

Here's the set list:

The number in brackets beside the song title is a little reminder for me to remember where to put my capo. I could write the key instead but this takes a little mental energy for me to do the translation so instead I write the capo position.  I have a couple more notes on a few songs to get me started.  As I said, I have a hard time learning other peoples songs and sometimes the title of their song is not enough for me to remember how the song starts.  Once I get started, I'm good to go.
