DOW CENTENNIAL CENTRE - FORT SASKATCHEWAN
It's a show day. I was up early to drive the 500 kilometres to Fort Saskatchewan.
The Woodshed (myself and T. Buckley) along with a cracker band consisting of Jason Valleau, Steve Fletcher and Jon May, start at 7:30 pm.
If you're wondering what a typical schedule for the day is for a musician on show day, here it is:
2:00 pm Load- in & set-up – house techs to assist
3:30 – 4:30 pm Sound checks
4:30 – 5:30 pm – set up and sound check for opener
5:30 – 6:30 pm – stage dark for meal break
6:30 pm – 7:00 pm – last minute checks on stage
7:00 pm Doors
7:30 pm Showtime
20 minute intermission
9:45 pm estimated end of Show
10:00 pm – strike and load-out
11:00 pm strike complete and clear of space
