CAFE NOIR - LETHBRIDGE ALLIED ARTS COUNCIL
Another meeting this morning, this time with the Lethbridge Allied Arts Council. We met at Café Noir, a fairly new café on the scene in Lethbridge.
It was nice to meet face-to-face for a few reasons. Firstly, meeting in person is a much richer experience. They’re meeting over the Internet. Secondly the executive director, Stephen Foord and the engagement manager Will Big Bull are long time friends. Both Steve and Will are accomplished musicians. Check out Steve here and Will here.
Over coffee I told them about my artist and residence project and both were eager to help. We have chosen the dates of June 27 and June 28 for me to facilitate a songwriting workshop for the community in Lethbridge Alberta.
Details to come, but it looks like the location has been set for CASA, a beautiful art centre in downtown Lethbridge. Mark your calendar.
